Kayō specialized in pictures of plants and (or) animals. He was primarily a painter but more than twenty of his pictures were issued as prints (i.e., lithograph, woodblock). Twenty-four examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Kayō drew his flower and bird subjects in a true-to-life way which was typical of Japanese artists who received their art training in the early 1900s.
